1/6 scale chicken and cat - 3D-printed

A friend of my mine has a 3D-printing shop. She kindly gave me the chicken and the cat. I painted them. The cat even got real cat whiskers.
Of course, no cat was harmed! I have two cats and from time to time they loose whiskers naturally. I find them when cleaning the flat. I usually collect them.

Actionfigurado in Duiven, Netherlands, March 5th, 2016

For the first time I visited the Actionfigurado in the Netherlands, the only 1/6 scale action figure show I know of. The show is dominated with military items. I am interested in (as I call it) civil life. So I tried to ignore all the army stuff and focused on finding things interesting for me. Here is a picture of what I bought including military stuff.
I bought Dragon's Linh to get an Asian lady.
And I bought an U.S. soldier from the Korean war. I need his clothing. I am still planning street scenes from 60s Hawaii. So I wanted a simple army outfit as street wear.
I found original Palitoy Action Man pyjamas. Never saw them before. Well, also Action Man needs a decent sleep.

The show was a good experience meeting friendly people and being able to see many 1/6 scale items that I usually only know from internet pictures.

Star Ace Harry Potter casual version

Today Harry moved in.
Assuming he is a 11/12 year old, the other 1/6 children depicted are about 9 and 7 years old.

Belated Christmas 2015

In December I was pretty busy. For my Christmas post it is too late. Still I wanted to show you my new miniature LED light set. The old one always got very hot. So now it can be lighted for hours :-D

Wooden cabin project, part 3 - bed

Happy New Year!
Finally I found some spare-time to work on the cabin project. I made a bed where the little people can relax. Jack is enjoying a decent nap.

Vespa with sidecar in 1/6 scale

Well, for my birthday I got a Vespa with sidecar, but not in my scale. My 1/6 scale world won the scooter.

Danny clings to the wind shield while Steve is trying to get this thing moving.

Wooden Cabin Project, part 2

Well, part two is not finished yet but grown a lot :-D
My 1/6 guys were so busy!

Wooden cabin project

Another new project is a wood cabin. I plan to do the 4 wall pieces first, then the floor and the roof. I will try to connect the pieces with magnets. Then it is easier to store the hut away.
First finished part is the wall with the fire place.

Horse halter

I made a horse halter from leather straps and metal loops.

Semi-annual Barbie convention in Munich - spring 2015

Today was the semi-annual Barbie convention in Munich. Again I found nice things for my collection. Some are fitting for the 60s/70s, others for 1900.
I even saw an expensive Karl Lagerfeld Barbie doll and it sold! (I did not buy it!)

It was much easier with a printed saddle tree :-D

1/6 scale mule

Mini Teddybears suitable for 1/6 scale

I did the little red teddy from the "Little Red Ted-kit" (3'') from Emily Farmer. Many years ago, when I was still a teenager I bought the kit at a teddy convention and started working on it. Somehow I stopped and just recently I found the unfinished kit in a drawer. So now, 20 years later I finished this bear.
After a quick search online I realised this kit is still available.

A friend kindly gave me the pattern for the bear on wheels.

School boy project - shoes

Here is my first try on the school sandals, also known as t-strap sandals. I am not entirely happy with them. Making these small shoes is pretty fiddly.

School boy project

Ricky was willing to part with his new school bag for this project. I am planning to do a little English school boy wearing the traditional uniform.
I made a head from polymer clay, painted it and glued hair on top of it. His school bag is done. And the traditional snake belt. If you are interested you can read more about English school uniforms here.
Currently the boy is wearing some substitute clothing.

"Straw hat"

My try on doing a "straw" hat. Inspired by a cool tutorial in a forum.
Can't link it :-( as it is only visible when you register.
