1/6 scale and grown-ups ...

A grown-up comes to the railway-station and before the train starts she goes to the book-shop in the station.

When this grown-up is interested in 1/6 scale she ends up in the children's section ...

Then ...

this person cheers about children's magazines, because ...

some of these magazine's have nice extras fitting for the 1/6 world :-D

So this time the adult left the book shop with a newspaper und two children's magazines that ...

deliver: a wonderful prop for the 1/6 doctor's office and Halloween decorations.

Only Hearts Club - Boys

There were no Only Hearts Club (OHC) doll boys with one exception. There was Lil' Kids brother Trevor in 4 inch. But there was no OHC 9 inch boy.
I really wanted a 9 inch boy so what to do: take a pair of scissors and ...

Here they are:

I kept the hair rather longish, fitting for the 70s. I still need fitting clothing.

Little girl's room - 70s

The 70s ...

Here we see a little girl's room. Lisa is ready for bed. Her little brother Geordie is ignoring all Mum's calls.
I intended it as a room in late 60s/70s in the U.S.
Has anyone hints what is missing? For example fitting posters, books.
Thanks in advance!

1/6 scale English saddle

I finally did my very first 1/6 saddle, an English saddle.
I needed three tries to succeed. It is made of black leather. It may not be perfect but it will do.
I plan to learn how to do a Western saddle, too.

Raggedy Ann doll in 1/6

Today little Lisa was happy to receive her Raggedy Ann doll.
I had no pattern for this little doll. I like how she turned out. Lisa, too.

1/6 plush toys

There is a vintage clothing set for Skipper doll (Barbie's little sister) ) #1909 Dreamtime from 1964-1966. It's a sleepwear set and it includes a little blue felt cat. It is so cute and it inspired me to do some similar 60s/70s-style little felt animals for my 1/6 children. I love cats. Therefore  they made the start. Then I added a little elephant.

A friend loved the red kitty so much that I made another one for her.

And I added a dolphin. Runo made the pattern. She offers GREAT plush toy patterns for free on her blog. Thank you so much!

1/6 cats

About time to add some feline friends to my little world.
My friend Claudia has a 3D-printing studio. So she kindly printed for me two kitties. I painted them in the colours of my own cats. So here they are: Jeannie (grey) and Mike (white).

Antique looking globe - new item for the office

Today I finally finished the globe for the detective office. No perfect copy of the tv-show-one but the style is fitting.

Commissioner Gordon Gary Oldman - Kumik version

I treated myself to a Kumik Commissioner. I was surprised to find such a generous set. See the picture. The original description said something else (link).
Well, I surely don't mind!
With his glasses I thought the commissioner will also fit in my 70s world.

Only Hearts Club doll - an option for the 1/6 scale daughter

New in my collection is this row of little girls. The guy helps that you can get an idea about the girls' height.
Only Hearts Club dolls have a cloth body and a wire skeleton. So they are easy to pose. They can wear Mattel's Skipper clothing and partly Sunshine-Family clothing. Of course they have their own range of fashion. But as you probably remember, I am looking for 60s/70s stuff so I am not interested in the modern clothing.
It is easy to find a couple of these dolls for a bargain price in the well-known auction house.

The Only-Hearts-Club-doll heads also work on Obitsu bodies.

Two new accessories for the office

Finally I have found some free time to continue work on the office. Today Steve and Danny can add a desk lamp and a container with little pencils.

Shoes for Luke

Luke told me he wanted real shoes with leather. Well, this guy is demanding.
Fortunately there are two superb tutorials:
http://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/custom-tips-techniques/630713-making-shoes-boots.html
http://weylent.blogspot.de/2008/11/making-16-leather-shoes.html
Thanks to this held I could do them. This is my third try. It looks already like a shoe. Even Luke admitted this.

New guy for my 70s world - Roy

So here comes a new guy for my 70s world - Roy. My friend Samar sculpted his head on top of an ugly Hasbro Luke Skywalker head.

Two new guys for my 1900s world - Luke and Jack

So here are two new guys for my 1900s world - Luke and Jack. Luke's head comes from the Hot Toys Bespin set (will only keep the heads, the rest will be sold). Jack's head is a Hugh Jackman Headplay headsculpt.
